Walking together on our Rite Journey
As part of the Year 9 Rite Journey program at St John's Grammar School, we encourage our students to think above and beyond themselves. They are called upon to participate in the Relay for Life, to give up their weekend in order to show support and raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The weekend presents not only a physical challenge but also an emotional and spiritual one, calling on our young people to dig deep and consider what they have to offer the world. The Rite Journey is all about asking our students to consider the adults they want to be, and it is our hope that they will be caring, compassionate and generous.
We also have a number of people in our school community that have been impacted by cancer, both as carers, suvivors, and those we've lost. We relay in support and memory of them.
