Relay for life

Hi everyone,
This year I’m taking part in the relay for life event as part of my halls team to raise funds for the cancer council to support others going through cancer and their family members. 

This is a cause near and dear to my heart, as my own father was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. As you can imagine this was a huge shock not only for him but also for his family and friends. Nobody expects cancer to happen to them until it does.

My dad is a huge part of my life and it’s been hard to see the impact this disease has had on his life so far. He only got his symptoms checked because a friend of his shared his story. So hopefully my dads story will prompt others to get checked and potentially help others to get diagnosed and treated efficiently. 

Even if you aren’t in a financial position to donate, sharing his story will also go along way.

Your dad worked with my wife (Trace) and I many years ago in SMH. One of the funniest blokes we know, we still laugh at and use some of his one liners.
