I'm stepping up against cancer! - Shaving My Head!

This year, I’m taking on Relay For Life to raise funds for every person who’s ever heard the words: “you have cancer”. In 2024, more than 150, 000 Australians will receive the news. Among them are our friends, families and colleagues. 

Cancer is a devastating disease for so many. For people living with cancer, their treatments can be long and stressful. For those without solutions, the future can be uncertain. It’s a concern shared by their loved ones.

This year I'm going to be shaving my head..... yep... it's happening. I chose to shave my head because so many people going through cancer treatment lose theirs. I get to enjoy the confidence that mine will grow back, I get to choose and I don't get all the pain and discomfort of hair loss due to chemotherapy. This is just one adverse symptom that people going through treatment experience and it's definitely not the worst. I can't share their pain but I hope to represent in the smallest way, a level of discomfort.  

With your support, I hope to help as many people impacted by cancer as possible. Together, we can support families when they need it most, empower people to reduce their risk, speak up for communities, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to Cancer Council on my behalf. Your generosity will make such an impact for those currently suffering through cancer, their loved ones and future research. 

The head is shaved, the locks are ready to post to Wigs for Kids. 
Relay for Life was such a great day to walk alongside those who had been through cancer, those that grieve loved ones and all of us who want to support a better future.

Your donations have contributed to the incredible $15K funds raised with my team, Elossa Fitness. What a wonderful gift to those around us affected by cancer, current and future, who will need much needed support. Thank you!!

I have updated my target because all the proceeds from our Elossa Trivia nights and the cash our members have generously been giving in our studios has been added to my target rather than our teams. Apologies to my whole team but we couldn't find a way to add to our team rather than my profile.
